Is the flower clock still there? My grandad (born in the Sandfields) used to take us there to see it when we came in to town from the Bont to visit my Gr-Auntie Trissy just around the corner in St Helen's Avenue.

Unfortunately the clock went many years ago. My dad used to take me to see it when I was a child. It is a great pity that it is no longer a feature. It was situated just by the road bridge which has now been removed and sits forlorn on the promenade. A case of the city knowing the price of everything but the value of nothing.

"The value of nothing" .... Very true It seems we don't know what we've got till it's gone!
Your shots are a bit of a coincidence for me Jim. You see, my Dad was a park ranger at both Cwmdonkin and Victoria parks.
I used to spend many a happy hour in both of them :-)
Thanks for the memories.
