I met Ron Clarke today a 93 year old poet and painter ~ we had a fascinating conversation reading our poems to each other and I was shown photos of his fabulous paintings ~ he had met RS Thomas three times and also Vernon Watkins, he was also a friend of the late Nigel Jenkins ~ a serendipitous meeting if there ever was one
