Swansea Jack was a dog who in the 1930s saved 27 humans and 2 dogs from drowning. He died 2nd October 1937. This memorial is situated on the promenade not far from the Cenotaph. The picture below is of Mumbles Head with a surface water outflow in the foreground. These outflows are a well known feature of the sandy Swansea Bay.
